|You Said We Did in Eastwood South: |
- You said you wanted something done about inconsiderate parking and speeding vehicles around Eastwood schools.
WE DID - Increased our patrols, gave out warnings to drivers, and sent letters to the owners of offending vehicles. We have worked with our partners including Nottinghamshire County Council highways. Work included, road markings being painted on the street corners, preventing hazardous parking, and has improved road safety.
- You said you wanted Coronation Park to be a safe place for the public to use, reduce anti social behaviour, reduce criminal damage to the play equipment, and littering.
WE DID - Increased our patrols at the key times, both high visibility and plain clothes. Worked with the Town Council and Broxtowe Borough Council and had more CCTV installed along with extra cleansing to the skate board area.
- You said you wanted the paved area close to Princes Street and Wellington Street improving as it was blighted by anti Social behaviour.
WE DID - Worked with our partners Broxtowe Borough Council, and carried out a doorstep survey to residents in the surrounding area. The result being that the area is being totally refurbished to include a sculpture in keeping with the mining industry heritage of the town.
- You said you were fed up with teenagers drinking, being rowdy and littering in the alleyway which links Knapp Ave and Malthouse Close.
WE DID - Identify the persons responsible and dealt with them in a positive manner. Worked with the relevant partner agencies and were successful in getting a closure/gating order on the alleyway. There is now no access, and the problem has been eliminated.
