Police are re-appealing for witnesses after a police officer was seriously injured in a road traffic collision.
The female PC was driving a marked police vehicle along The Wells Road, St Ann’s, Nottingham, at 4.41pm Sunday December 6, when she swerved to avoid a taxi, before leaving the road and hitting a tree. 
She was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, and received treatment for spinal and leg injuries. The St Ann’s officer was in hospital for two weeks, but is now continuing her recovery at home. A male PC who was in the passenger seat was also taken to hospital and treated for whiplash injuries.
