AIR AMBULANCE LANDS IN RISE PARK.....

On Wednesday 13th January 2010 the air ambulance was called in to land on Brownlow Drive, Rise Park following a crash between three cars. One of the drivers was reported to be in a serious condition and on arrival at the scene, Police Officers made the decision to call in the Air Ambulance.



Due to the very icy conditions, a road ambulance would have found it extrmely difficult to get to the scene safely and the Air Ambulance was the only option left.
Police Officers and Fire Officers laid down a small amount of grit so that a safe area could be established to work on and assist the air crew getting to the scene and taking the injured person to the Helicopter without any further injuries taking place.
